What is Behind the Mask?

A journal for the things girls don't always know how to talk about.
Growing up isn't always easy. Friendships change, confidence comes and goes, relationships can be confusing, and the online world can make everything feel that little bit harder.
Behind the Mask was created to give girls somewhere to explore those feelings, ask questions, recognise warning signs and discover their own strengths.
It's not about telling girls who to become.
It's about helping them understand, appreciate and protect who they already are.

Every girl grows at her own pace. 💗

No two girls are the same. Some are ready to explore certain topics earlier than others, and that's completely okay.

Behind the Mask covers a wide range of subjects, from confidence and friendships to more sensitive topics such as unhealthy relationships, grooming and personal safety.

We encourage parents and carers to look through the contents before gifting the journal and decide which sections are appropriate for their girl.

Some pages may open up important conversations, and others may be better saved for another time.

You know your girl best. This journal is here to support you, not replace you.
